Dress Up: Effortless Cool & Chic

I often start with one item/garment, and then somehow the complete look starts to form in my mind like a vision. In my mind I start adding the accessories one by one to make the look whole, and in the end it somehow manages to come together pretty well!

I started this look with the shirt dress, then added the legging, the booties, the belt, the bag, and finally all those bangles!! I kinda love this look so much that I wanna go out and buy the entire look for myself - if only my wallet allowed. :)

WANTED: Flat Boots

So, I have just become obsessed with flat boots and have decided that I need a pair. Yes, need a pair. But there are so many cute ones out there and I can't make up my mind whether I should get them in black or in cognac. So, I was hoping that I could get some suggestions?

Designer Watch: Temperley London

When people asked me, "Who's your favorite designer?" I used to just name any designer that I knew and liked, but by like I mean based on one jacket or one dress I knew from their line or collection. I had never really studied fashion shows and designers. Any knowledge I had of designers were from magazines, and it never really made a huge impression in my brain for me to remember or confidently say "I love this designer."

I have come to really appreciate the experiences I am getting at my fashion showroom internship, because it really makes me study a designer's complete collection, and really get to know a designer's style. I finally feel like I can name a designer and picture the looks they are known for in my mind, or I can see a look and be like, "Oh, that looks like so and so." It feels really good to be able to do that. Do I get it right all the time now? No. Am I getting better though? Yes. I'm trying to make it a habit to look through fashion shows on Style.com and get a feel for what the trends are, and I am finally able to start compiling a list in my mind of my favorite designers.

With that said, here is another designer I am loving: Temperley London

Designer Watch: Andrew Gn

First of all, I AM BACK.
I apologize for the dead blog for about a week (for those who do come and read my blog :D ). If I have an excuse, I was away traveling and driving during the Thanksgiving Holiday, and most of the time didn't have internet connection.

So, yesterday was my first day at a new internship - Starworks Fashion PR, the LA office. It is definitely closer to what I want to be doing career-wise, but I realized I have a LOT LOT to learn as PR and showroom stuff is completely new to me. After the first day I feel a bit inadequate, but my hope is that after a few more days I will get used to the work and will have memorized all the designers they carry and which seasons go on which rack, and etc. Although a little overwhelmed, after going through a rack full of Monique Lhuillier, I think I have memorized her entire collection since two years ago, and I feel much more knowledgeable of designers!

Today, I wanted to share a designer I have newly fallen in love with: Andrew Gn
