It's hard to look all glitz and glam EVERY time you go out. I can think of many nights when I decided to stay in because I was feeling lazy or didn't want to step out of my comfy/loungy clothes. The good thing is, there is an answer. There is always an answer to fashion - whether it be finding comfort or finding the best pair of kill hills for attention.
With that said, I wanted to go out feeling comfortable and looking like I wasn't trying too hard, but at the same time looking fashionably on point. My answer was a pair of leggings + an oversized sweater + booties.
By simply adding the long chain necklace and a cute bootie to the leggings & oversized sweater upgrades the look from being too casual/boring to being fun & stylish! My only regret is that I'm still waiting for the perfect cuff and bangle that will truly complete this look to arrive in the mail.

Forever 21 Black Cotton Leggings, White Long T-Shirt from Korea, Guess Navy Oversized Sweater, Cashmere Scarf/Wrap in Black (on sale at Nordstrom.com for $58.90), MARC by Marc Jacobs "Miss Marc" Tote in Blue, Mia Grey Suede Bootie, Silver Hoop Earrings, Long Chain Necklace from Korea, 2 Random Rings from Korea
I have to mention that the cashmere scarf/wrap by Nordstrom is an amazing deal for the price. It is 100% cashmere for just about 60 bucks, but it is very versatile. It can be a scarf and it can be a wrap over SO many styles (sweaters, t-shirts, dresses, etc.) and the best part is that it is VERY warm. I carry this with me all the time, and it keeps me warmer than any sweater I have. It's good to have a wrap as an essential part of your wardrobe, because some clothes are made so that it just doesn't work with a regular jacket or sweater - such as the one I'm wearing due to its large sleeves. I invested in two - one in black and one in Coral or "Faded Rose" for a touch of color. I still wanted the color one to be able to go with the majority of my outfits, so I chose to go safe, however if you like accent pieces, there is a wide variety of color so check it out!
